Hi, basically what the title asks :) I found a ranking for graduate, and I was 29 and SB and D were tied for 34. Do you guys know how they stack up for undergad in CS though? Thanks!

There aren’t really any reliable undergrad dept rankings. Grad rankings are relying on research production. But a strong grad program at a research uni is nice and these all have that as you see. Undergrad would be more about teaching and class size and such. You would do fine at any. Learn more about each department by reading all the pages and understanding the philosophy and don’t worry about rankings so much. You might want to compare the requirements for the major and the amount of course offerings. Also look at how the dept is set up and the variety of degrees offered. UCI has it’s own college, the Bren school of Information and Computing Science, which has very broad and deep offerings. This should create a strong community and a lot of opportunities.

I would go through the catalog of each school CS department and dig a little deeper. I think UCI(28)>UCSB(34)>UCD(39) in Computer Science.
