in reality is UCSD a much better school, and how much harder is it to get admission here than UCSB. I have already been accepted to SB but im not much of a partier and since SD has essentially the opposite stereotype, i was wondering how much different a college experience ppl have at SB

<p>I'm a current UCSB student. While UCSB has a party school reputation it's not really that wild here. You should come here and see the school for yourself during school days and weekends. I think you'll have a great college life if you decide to enroll here . I party but I have some friends that don't drink or party. There are so many activities you can do other than party during your free time. Good luck!</p>

<p>UCSD is much more academically rigorous, although it's also earned the reputation of having pretty much nothing going on campus. But just because you were rejected from SB doesn't eliminate your chances, but it certainly isn't a good thing in terms of your overall choices.</p>
