I’m trying to decide between UC Santa Barbara and University of Washington. I don’t want to make my decision based only on tuition. My intended major is Physics and a strong program in this area is the most important for me (good faculty, research opportunities, etc). I don’t live in U.S. so an idea on dorms, food and social atmosphere (not a party girl) will be useful. I’m VERY NERVOUS to make this decision, please help me!!!

UCSB and UW are both outstanding for physics… you could not go wrong with either.
And yes, you SHOULD consider the cost of attendance.
How much will each cost (after grants/scholarships, but before loans)? How much loans will you need to take out for each?
