University of Washington Vs UCSB vs UCD

I’m having trouble choosing between these three colleges. For some background information, I am a California resident and am a transfer applicant. I am also a chemistry major (premed). The University of Washington has been my dream for so long but after hearing how competitive it is and how competitive it is to get into certain majors I am feeling hesitant. I contacted a chemistry counselor at UW and she told me that getting into the major isn’t that difficult but I’m not sure if she’s just obligated to say that. I got excepted into UCSB in their pre-chemistry major and I got excepted into UC Davis in the chemistry major. I’m really interested in finding a good research opportunities and I know that your i’m really interested in finding good research opportunities and I know that UW is a great school to find undergraduate research but I’m not entirely sure about UCSB and UC Davis. I love the campus of UWand have not visited UCSB or UC Davis yet but once I step foot on UW campus I really couldn’t see myself anywhere else but all of the comments I’ve been hearing on the school I have definitely affected me. I was just wondering what opinions were of people who attend these schools or from people who know others that go to these schools.

Thanks!

What is the out of pocket cost for UW as opposed to SB or D?

This link will take you to a page that discusses admission to the chemistry major at Washington (click “Undergraduate Program”):

Congratulations, and good luck!

UDub is $55k OOS. Unless your family is wealthy, why would you go there? (yeah, I get that Seattle is awesome, but $20k extra per year? makes no sense.)

@ProfessorPlum168 UW is roughly $38k for tuition, SB and Davis are $18k, not trying to focus too much on the money atm btw! I understand its an important factor but for the time being just seeing where I can get the best education/experience

@UWfromCA do you currently go to UW? If so, do you mind if I ask a few questions via email or any other platform besides here?
