well it says the deadline for submitting the contract is this tuesday, may 18, wonder if i can change it too dorming? if i do then what?

Strawberryjam- have you visited both campuses yet??

Dragondawg- well that deadline is for the apartment contract only, if you choose to stay in the dorm, you just ignore the apartment contract and apply for a dorm contract.

I also faxed in my housing contract for 4/2 room and i'm going to see if theres a way to move in my stuff eariler since that 8 day gap is really a hassle between the end of summer and fall.

calvinator you can move your stuff in.... on the housing website i believe on the housing calendar is states that if you are in session B you can leave your stuff in SB

Housing Calendar: 2007-2008

read under sept 15th...its the 2007 calendar but i would assume its the same policy for this year

californialife...im in the same boat you are...im just going to fly home for that week and then fly back most likely

calvinator- I have visited UCSB like two years ago...but i'm planning on visiting UCSD this weekend and I'm not sure when I'll visit UCSB probably next weekend.

well i guess you if in session B then you will save a lot of hassle and just store your stuff in your fall assignment room and just come back 8 days later. I thought san mig was the only housing open on campus for summer but according to that link adam posted manzanita village is open too?

that link was for the 2007-2008 year and it doesnt include summer 2008.

dragondawg...no that calendar is from last summer sorry haha

oh ok, wonder if they change the dorm on summer housing each year? if they only open one maybe not enough people apply for them? seems B seems like s better idea since you can just move your stuff from your summer place over to fall and leave it there, maybe even set some stuff up if its okay with your roommate then on move in day you can just do whatever, too bad the class i think i need and will be taking only offers session A, july is the best month of summer i think since its the only full month i think most people get off if your not taking summer school.

look at all these living learning communities residence halls, not sure if there was a request for these on our housing application?

i agree session B is much better

i think you get to pick those when they offer you a contract

its going to be tough, some of those floors look interesting, though i don't know how well they will translate into what they are meant for. So i assume everyone on here is getting an off campus apartment for summer. anyone? getting the san Mig dorm?

looks like santa ynez is best looking apt for summer but its only for 2/4 and i put 1/2

Does the school have a fitness center for everyone on campus to use?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

YouTube - Honest College Ad

This is a hilarious video. At 59 seconds is the best.

i know ucsb's rec center is immaculate lol

yeah theres more than one fitness center, theres a huge one and i think some of the residence halls have there own.

haha that vid is funny

dragondawg - i'll be in san mig this summer.

When I went to the gym last summer there seemed to be some pretty good competition during pickup ball at the rec center, so if you play ball I guess that's one positive in regards to the gym.

Also Michael Jordan holds his bball camp at UCSB every summer.

outstanding video california life
