UCSC appeal results

Did anyone else’s status not change?

“Thank you for your interest in attending UC Santa Cruz. Regretfully, we are unable to offer you admission for the fall quarter 2013. We received over 38,000 applications for a class of 3,500 students, and unfortunately, we could not accommodate many fine students.”

Well, it’s time to move forward guys, lets keep it going. Congrats to anyone who got accepted :)

I went from rejection to waitlist. Is that good? Or is it just as bad as a rejection? Because I heard waitlists rarely get accepted. :/

Yeah, waitlisted students haven’t gotten in at UCSC

Some do. It depends on year.

Darn, that doesn’t look too good for me with all these budge cuts :/

Just need to hope that nobody SIRs to UCSC :)

Has anyone else’s status not changed?

Got waitlisted as well from rejection. I figure there’s still a chance…

looks like some of us are in the waitlist game now :(

Fyi - No status change for me yet

No status change as in it still says “we have received your appeal…” ?

What did you guys appeal with/for, for people who haven’t yet heard? I appealed for medical stuff.

Appealed on new diagnoses of learning disability.

I just heard back, but it was very unclear. They made no mention of my actual appeal and if it was accepted or not… Instead they responded “Thank you for opting in to be placed on the UC Santa Cruz waitlist. By seeing this message you are confirmed to be on the waitlist.” Does this mean my appeal was rejected and I will remain on the waitlist?

@cvnryn, it sounds like it.

@hitdoghowls, did you include documentation?

@cvnryn were you on waitlist before you appealed?

Still nothing. Anyone else?

i didn’t get in. but thats okay Im ok with going to ucr. someone i know is going there too.

Included 26 page evaluation/report that was accepted by College Board along with other supporting info and was still rejected. Off to CalPoly SLO and happy about it.
