Accepted for Film and Media Production!
are they just doing early acceptances or is this basically d-day?
Also- I am from Cali and my name is NO WHERE near the end or the beginning of the alphabet, so that debunks that. I don’t think there is a method in a particular order like that.
@CindyLeuWho Congrats! Can you share gpa/test score stats?
Major: Film and Media
SAT: 1390 (wish it was over 1400 but didn’t get time to study more)

@CindyLeuWho Most people who hear anything today are just receiving acceptances! It looks like UCSC has rolling admissions
Well congrats to everyone! Is anyone for sure going to UCSC? Is it anyones first choice school?
I am sure it is many peoples first choice school. UCSC is a fantastic school and for those who got in already, congratulations to all of you and the hard work you must have done to get accepted!
D is math with a 1520 and 4.18 capped 4.6 something uncapped UC GPA. 13 AP classes and 4 college classes. Nothing yet. I am sure she will get in eventually but there doesn’t seem to be any pattern I can spot.

Does anyone know when the financial information is available? There wasn’t anything with the acceptance.
Any insight from the moderator or anyone else on how admission decisions will come if you didn’t hear early? It looks to me like a common thread among the admitted students is a 4.0 UW GPA, and my son didn’t have that, so I think he’s out of luck on being an early admit. Will UCSC do a flurry of early admits and then hold off on “regular” admits until mid-March? Or will they continue to do rolling admits from this point on through March 20?
I don’t think they are done with early admissions. At least I hope not.
My DD is still waiting. She has a 3.96 gpa unweighted and 4.43 weighted with a 1400 sat plus a bunch of AP class. Major is environmental sciences and haven’t seen anyone post for that yet. Looks like it might be by majors but who knows. I have seen others post with lesser stats post acceptances . She was accepted to SDSU honors college but hasn’t heard anything from any UC schools yet. We are also instate …
I got accepted yesterday! I only applied to UC schools and was really regretting putting all my eggs in one basket but I am so relieved now!
accepted!
3.85 GPA UW
30 superscore, 29 but I had to submit a 27 with the essay

@NorCalsoccermom: Other than last year, previous year decisions had some High Stat Early admits at the end of February followed by the majority of decisions in Mid-March. Also prior to last year, they gave time slots based on last name when they would be posting their decisions. Seems like they may follow last year’s timeline and just start posting decisions in March over a few days.
Sorry I cannot give anyone more information.
@Gumbymom - just curious. Do UCs look at unweighted GPA? A friend’s son took 15+ APs but half are Bs. Very bright kid who loves learning, but now they are worried. Thanks!
