Hello everyone!

I just found out i was provisionally accepted in UCSC's global econ program and was wondering if anyone knew how it compared to CSULB's international business program. Even just some basic cost of attendance figures would really help my make my decision. Thank you in advance for the help i'm really struggling with this decision!

Thanks!

COAs are posted on all campus websites for California publics. It’s common knowledge that UCs cost more than CSUs. Some of the areas are inflated (some could even not be enough for what you normally would spend) on each COA so you’ll have to look at the real costs (fees). Room&board is also part of the real costs, but this depends on where you plan to live (on campus, off campus, commuter).

I’m not sure how knowing the COA tells you how its program for a specific major compares to one of CSULB… Just tells you if you can afford it or not. And no, I don’t know anything about either program, but hopefully someone will come along that does :)

I know UCSC’s global econ program is pretty good, I’ve heard it was “top-notch”. UCSC also has a highly ranked international finance masters program, so I assume that it’s faculty is great. From what I know about the CSUs, I dont think LB is very good but I could be wrong. I’ve only heard good things about SDSU and CSUF’s programs in international business.
