<p>Will UC Santa Cruz rescind me if i have a D in French 3/4 ?
Right now I am close to a C- but i know I'm going to get a D because i did not pass my final. This is my first D in high school and its second semester my senior year. My GPA is still above a 3.0 and i've taken other AP classes.
the teacher was terrible she taught french 3, 4, and AP all in one class period. She made french 4 repeat what french 3 was doing which means they did it all the year before and still none of them were getting above a B. If we used improper grammar she would call us lazy and if we used proper grammar she would say we were cheating.
Also i have no intention of being a french major or taking any foreign language class. i fulfill my a-g requirements without this class, this would be a third year of foreign language</p>
<p>First off, it doesn’t matter how bad a teacher taught, a D is a D. What you need to do is call them ASAP, ASAP meaning NOW, if not now, tomorrow morning, tell them BEFORE you get the D. The sooner you tell them, the better, they will email you a form where you write why you got the D, and you better not blame the teacher, that just shows that you wont take responsibility, and they don’t like that.</p>
<p>Its a little bit easier because its not a-g, but do what I said above still, this is a big deal, treat it as such.</p>
