UCSC to UCD/UCI Chance?

Hello, I am about to start my second year at UCSC and I want to go to either UCD (first choice) or UCI. I have done a lot of research and I know that CC students are given priority before 4-year institutes, but I hope that I can be a competitive student and get in!
I like UCSC, the environment is wonderful, but it was not my first choice, I was waitlisted to UCD as an incoming freshman, but didn't make it in.

Here are my stats at UCSC...
Intended Major: Biological Sciences (Probably Microbiology, want to be a researcher)
Cumulative GPA (as of Spring 2013): 3.71

Fall: 20 Units (Got permission to exceed limit)
2 Core Classes: A+ for both
Chem 1A: C
Math 11A: D (Calculus is hard, I tried and got results. I retook it in Winter, and got an A)
Orchestra: A

After I didn't pass Calc, I felt bummed, but I decided to work harder, go to office hours and tutoring, whatever it took to learn the material. It paid off in the later quarters, but I hope that the D doesn't affect my chance of application...

Winter: 14 Units
Chem 1C: A-
Chem 1N (lab): A
Math 11A: A (retake)
Orchestra: A

Spring: 17 Units
Chem 1B: A
Chem 1M: A
Math 11B: A-
Writ2: A

Summer:
DVC
First Term Spanish: A
Intro to Sociology: A
UCD SS2
Mat21C: In progress. (I hope to get an A or B)

Do I have a chance as a UC-UC transfer?

If you keep that GPA up, you have a very good chance.
