I am not sure how to rank them and how they are selected for students.
I prefer strong spirit, lot of diversity, and good social standing. I also like STEM, and will probably be prehealth major (mostly med, maybe dental after shadowing).
I think people will say Revelle for me, but I heard it has the hardest course load, and I want to be in Muir or something because it seems more fun I guess.
Revelle is good for premeds I heard, but I heard they have hard humanities which is definetely not for me!
Even if I put Revelle 4th, will I get placed in that?
The difference between the colleges is basically their GE requirements and location on campus.
You can use this link to compare colleges: http://provost.ucsd.edu/colleges/compare.html
There is no way to know until you are accepted if you get into your 1st choice, last choice or any choice in-between so just rank them based on what you think would work best for you. If you have a lot of AP credit, look for a college that the AP credit may help fulfill some of your GE requirements.
where do you find AP credit policy for the colleges?
Thanks.
Is admission based on which college you choose? If not, let’s say you get admitted to the university, what are the odds of getting assigned to the college you ranked #1?
Admission is not based on which college you choose and getting your first choice is sometimes the luck of the draw.
