My housing page said 2009-2010 yesterday and today it changed to 2010-2011 but it still says that I don’t have access to that page yet.

Hey congrats to those who got in. How many units did you all have when you applied?

44.5! (10 char)

^^ I was actually just going to ask that same question, james.

Maybe if you already had 60 units, you would be notified early?

Also, did you guys that were accepted apply early or late? I applied November 26th, and have received nothing.

Well never mind, evan answered my first question lol.

Ha ha ha. After this semester I’ll have 60.5! Cutting it close!

Also, I submitted on the 23rd of November.

I’ll have 62 and I’m still pending…wth!!! lol jk.

Accepted!

Major: Philosophy
GPA: 4.0
IGETC: Done except for the LAB that goes with one physical science
Pre-reqs: All done
Essays: Pretty good
ECs: Founded a non profit foundation to train the homeless with basic skills and set them up with employment in high school and have been working on it for 4 years then went back to school to get a degree and become civil rights lawyer. So lots of community involvement and what not.

Units: I’ll have 65 by the end of Spring '10. Took and passed 7 APs in high school so I’m barely a one year transfer.

@ thelongshot: Have a good time at Stanford lol.

Also, I’m really happy about my conditions for admission. Basically, pass all my classes this semester (2.0) and don’t dip below a 3.0 cumulative. Sounds good to me!

@emilsinclair - while I deeply appreciate your sentiment, everyone needs to stop telling me that because I’m starting to believe it which makes the crushing even worse! Of course I am applying but there’s no way I’m getting into a school as selective as Stanford lol

I’ll have 72 by the end of this semester and I havent heard anything yet!

Doesn’t Stanford accept something like less than 2 percent of transfer applicants…or am I entirely off?

@ theregoesevan: Yeah that sounds about right.

@ thelongshot: Sorry man, I don’t mean to set you up like that. I just think you have a good shot.

I accidentally already started the acceptance process by clicking on the provisions link and the residency link. However, just because I did this, I’m not bound to attend the school yet, unless I send in my SIR, right?

^ did you seriously need to even ask that question …?

I’m not able to log in to check right now… Anyone else?

It is 2.4-2.7%. The transfer admissions counselor from Stanford told me it would be 20-30 students this year.

And no problem emilsinclair, I truly appreciate it from everyone who says it, I’m just never one to put myself above anyone let alone the other 900+ transfer applicants to somewhere like Stanford.

But having just gotten the UCSD acceptance I honestly feel a lot of pressure being off from almost everywhere else. I got a top 30 school and all I really want is a good education so I’m just extremely relieved and now feel as if I’m playing with house money.

Good luck to everyone :D

I agree, longshot. I want a quality education that will open doors for me to attend graduate school. With that said, I absolutely want to attend Berkeley and feel that I have a great shot. But attending UCSD in the event I do not get into Cal will work for me too. It’s a good feeling to have the accomplishment of being accepted into UCSD :)
