It really is a relief, a good feeling and something to look forwards to. I mean a great school is a great school. The important thing is the quality of the professors and the community of the school. People who rank and dissect and feign superiority over things like UCLA v USC v UCSD v Berkeley are exactly the kind of people that marginalize and oppress based on class and stats when they actually do become someone. Aristotle said “Like acts create like dispositions” so in that manner, start developing a good disposition in college :)

Congrats to your acceptance at UCSD buddy, I hope you get into Berkeley!

thelongshot: Stanford accepted 8 transfers last year, when I was applying. This was a huge 100% increase from the year before (4 students in 2008).

I had the housing message change last year for about a month, and then my status finally changed to admitted about 4-5 days after UCB’s decisions went up.

Got in =D. I knew i would 'cus of the tag, but it’s still freakin sweet to see. And UCSD’s unofficial aid they can give me based on my unofficial FAFSA (parents haven’t done there taxes yet), is 9,000 dollars in grants, and the rest in various loans. Which is a butt-load more free money than I expected. I’m crossing my fingers that it will stay that way when everything is official. Cool beans man. Cool beans. Still waiting for UCLA and Berkeley.

Accepted to Philosophy in Marshall College.

Have a 3.9 GPA and something like half the pre-reques done. (which was all i could do at my school)

I’m just scared that some minor paper work problem will be the end of me, as that’s the only thing that could get in my way from being accepted.

Ah… now i’m more anxious than before to hear from berkeley =(

Such a huge relief, even though I had a TAG, I was still worried for some reason. The financial aid they’re offering me is actually really nice, too. $10,000 in gift aid plus subsidized loans etc. Can’t wait to get out of the central valley and move there in the summer! Congrats to everyone!
