The aventeur website is no longer working for me. This makes me happy. I was sick of signing into it and seeing ERC on the banner.

I still haven’t heard anything. I called UCSD Admissions today and asked about it. They said the emails are on a “rolling basis” and that I’d just have to wait longer. : (

The email that many of us received was from the “Thurgood Marshall” college so I’m guessing you would receive it if Marshall was your number 1 choice. Not sure though???

@ Dallas

You don’t always get your number 1 choice. It is said that you generally get one of your top 3 choices.

They took away Aventeur now. Hahahahahahahahahhaa.

https://aventeur.ucsd.edu/public/newparent/

“The UCSD New Parent Gateway is currently closed and will open in mid-May when registration for Orientation opens - please return then.”

LMAO.

^it sounds as though UCSD caught up to the hack.

jesus you guys use hack so liberally. first off, it’s not a hack. second, it wasn’t even a good indicator. everyone can see it. it was clarified a while ago =/

anyway, my friend got an email today regarding the app and they needed new info… so i guess they’re still looking through apps. kind of slow though.

ugh

^
Buzz Killington

haha knight might. agreed

et moi aussi, je suis d’accord ;)

sorry, i’ve been computers for a long time and i have what i consider to be a pretty vast knowledge on the subject. it’s a pet peeve of mine when people say “hack” when it’s not hacking. i.e: leaving your computer logged into facebook only to have someone change your status. that’s not hacking; that’s stupidity.

hacking actually requires skill to figure out something unknown using your own skills. people just throw it around like a magic word when it’s not.

wow just wow.

wow this guy’s been computers for a long time? crazy…

^ hahahahahahahahahahahaha

It’s funny how a word like “hack” changes definition depending on the context used. For instance, in popular culture, the word conveys a sense of sophistication.

I was an applications software developer for 10 years before throwing it all away to chase my dreams of becoming a poor college student. To me, “to hack” means to slap together **ty code or to implement some stop-gap solution to fix somebody else’s **ty code.

damn i accidentally a word <- yes that’s on purpose.

geez. you guys make fun of me as if you’ve never made a typo. i’ve been around computers for a long time.

i didn’t mean it in a mean way i just thought it was funny the way it sounded. i actually kind of agree with your post. it was just a bit too blowhard-y for my taste.

lol im gonna guess that every time someone links you to the lifehack website you go hulksmash on their asses

i hack trees

lol Fenris your app is still under consideration?

Still nothing! UGH.
