UCSD Admission status

I am an international student. I got accepted by UCSD as a freshman and I will be majoring in Economics. I have a concern about my admission status. Before applying to UCSD, I attended one quarter at a college in my country. Later on, I stopped my university in my country and I went to the US to study English for 9 months. Since I already attended college, I knew I should not have applied to UCSD as a freshman. However, I didn’t qualify for the transfer admission either because UCSD only offers transfer admission to Junior level applicants. Therefore, I applied as a freshman and I got admitted.

I have been reading many forums and I know that if someday UCSD finds out I have attended college but didn’t report it, I might be kicked out by the university. Therefore, I emailed UCSD explaining my situation. I got an email from UCSD saying that I might get rescinded due to non-disclosure of coursework, but I needed to have my college transcript send to UCSD before they can make a decision.

Recently, I checked my application link and I got the “requirement met” check under the “verify if your transcripts have been validated” section. I wonder if that means I am good to attend UCSD for this fall and that my one quarter of attendance at a college in my country didn’t affect my admission?

  1. You only had one quarter from your country's university, and UCSD determines standing by academic credit. One quarter shouldn't provide enough credit for you to even be considered a sophomore, because you didn't surpass 52 (if I remember correctly) required credits. (If your English studies also count is a different matter.)
  2. If your transcripts are verified you should be good. If your university grades are good, then you shouldn't have anything to worry about (it only adds positively to your profile). Heck, you might even get credit for those classes. Call UCSD's operator and ask to speak to an admissions officer just to make sure.

@mikuru Thank you for your response! I already called UCSD and I asked to talk to an admission officer.
An admission officer told me that if I see the “requirement met” sign I should be fine to attend classes for this fall =D
