@SimplyGreat or it’s just that they need a little more time with the large of influx of applicants this year.
Saw in Reddit someone got decision for SD with an image
Someone on Reddit just posted that they got in? Idk. My portal still doesn’t have a decision.
Probably just a prank. Happens all the time lol
S1 was accepted UCB but went UCSD for CS four years ago. Worked out very well for him. Choose the program and the campus that’s the best fit for you. Good luck everybody!
^Although Irvine got the most applicants of all of the UCs this year and the others are down a bit
@cashcarti Could be. Very unlikely though, as decisions are typically finalized WEEKS before they are released. Anyways, I am just telling you guys about my experiences and the people I have met at UCLA, as well as others from UCSD.
How about the social aspect of UCSD? Any extrovert felt like they missed out all the fun stuff? Sports, restaurants, bars, clubs, anything…?
I wonder how much power D2 coaches have. I have a 3.7w (lol) and a 1430 which probably doesn’t make me that competitive, but the coach wants me to redshirt and offered to write a rec to admissions.
UCSD going D1 in 2020-21 joining the Big West
Yeah i just talked to an admissions officer and he said they’re not being released today. Huge disappointment
@SimplyGreat but UCSD is 4th in line in UCs behind UCSB
UCSC just came out
Santa Cruz just started releasing a few minutes ago, for those who are interested…
This is such a rollercoaster of emotions… we’ve been scammed
If #250 is real then I’m actually pissed…
@yjliu I know… I don’t know who to believe
so did they say anything about when is the actual releasing date? is it next friday for sure?
What is going on with UC decisions being pushed back compared to past years?
@SimplyGreat, if decisions are made weeks, or even days in advance, then UCSD and UCLA admissions are outright lying, because many of us have called them directly and that is what they told us. I believe them, because why else would they not be able to release today?
And surely, accepted students are bright enough to wait until they receive all their decisions before committing regardless of initial excitement levels.
