UCSD Co-ops and culture??

<p>Can anybody give me an insight about UCSD's co-ops? I'm worried there won't be much "hands-on" labs as an Electrical Engineer transfer student. </p>

<p>I would also appreciate if current UCSD students can describe what the culture/atmosphere is like. I hear it's very competitive, therefore not very cooperative. </p>

<p>I don’t know much about co-ops, but I personally don’t find UCSD to be too competitive…but I’m only a freshman and still kind of clueless even after two quarters here.</p>
