hi guys i am applying to UCSD as a cognitive science major (freshman).
im supposed to take the SAT Subject test for Math Level 2 and Bio in 2 days, but because of health reasons, i havent been able to prepare. i was thinking of backing off.
i took us history, math level 2, and chem a few years ago and got in the 600s range because i didnt take them seriously enough. i had planned to retake them, but now because of my health, im not sure if i should. i know theyre recommended and not required, but 600 is well below my capabilities now.
however, i got a 5 on AP Psych test.
i also have a 4.2 GPA, and im taking ACT next week but my practice tests have been 33/34. i got 1420 on SAT earlier this year.
how much do these subject test affect my admissions? would a 5 on psych be sufficient or do i need to “prove myself” with the SAT Subject tests?
if i should take them, should i take one or both? please help im rlly stressed :’)
