Hi im applying as a structural engineering major for UCSD. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about the 6 colleges (social life, GE requirements, dorm conditions). I really dont want to take a lot of history/english/foreign language...so does anyone have any suggestions about how i should rank the colleges i apply to. Also I dont mind science and math so what colleges have more GEs in those subjects?

oh ya, im applying as well
what are the more social colleges?

i think that warren would be good for you, thats where most of the engineering kids go

I suggest going online and checking out the colleges and their requirements a bit. Its more than just science/math vs history/english/foreign language. Warren, College 6 and Revell might suit you. Although Revell is the most rigid GE requirements. You will likely want to pass on Eleanor Roosevelt and Thurgood Marshall. Not sure about John Muir, it has the most flexible requirements. Here's a good link to start at http://www.ucsd.edu/college.html
