UCSD decisions are out Fall 2009

GPA, Sakurax?

^
3.8+. Psych major. My stats are on the OFFICIAL 2009 DECISIONS thread. [:

P.S.- this is to everyone-I find it really amusing how two links on UCSD’s website have different decision dates. One says ‘MID March’ and another one ‘LATE March’ and no, I did not misread, because it was for transfers. If I have time to find them again…I really don’t know how much clicking I did…-.-;;; I’ll post the links.

Don’t think you’re out of the bunch just yet! I submitted my application the day it was due…at 9ish pm PST, no worries. I’m not sure about the whole random theory…I have a friend who works for UCSD admissions…I’ll be sure to ask her. [:

3.7 accepted for econ!

I guess this is a stupid questiot but, where do I find my admissions decision? It does not say anything, not even pending. all it says when i log in is:

Welcome to the UC San Diego application status Web site. We are currently reviewing applications for transfer admission for the Fall 2009 quarter.

Decisions for transfer applicants will be posted between late March through the end of April 2009. Please check this site later in the spring for updates and the status of your application.

All transfer applicants will receive a communication from the UC Central Processor in mid-January. This will give you details about the Application Update form covering your completed coursework for the Fall term, and your planned/proposed coursework for Winter and/or Spring 2009 terms. This is a required form and the priority deadline to submit it is January 30, 2009. If you submit the Application Update form after February 15, 2009, the information on it may not be reviewed or considered, which can adversely affect your admission decision.

that paragraph basically says “pending”

no i know, i was just asking because it does not even say a portion of our decisions have been posted…it just says late march

There not going to post how many applicants have been reviewed and reached a decision on. It says it can last till late April, so thats the only thing we can go by. So we have a month time gap.

Regardless, they’re still going to let us know if we got in or if we were rejected. I just wish they could let us all know FASTER.

Definitely.

I’m about to go ask them. LOL. I’ll let you all know how that goes. [:

In the mean time, stop working yourselves up. It’s not even April yet and like MANY others have said, they have a lot of time. So stop refreshing!!!

[:

Never!!! I shall continue refreshing!

Muir pride! Anyways, do you guys think it’s a waste of money to get a room at the new transfer student housing ($1310-1580/month @_@)?

Are those definitely going to be available?

I live by UCSD, and let me just say I don’t think they will. Unless they hella speed it up. LOL. :/

Ahh I just called admissions, I thought they could give some specific decision release dates like they did for previous years(according to google), but apparently not.

If this keeps up I might just break my refresh button.

Okay here’s an important question, did anyone in a science/engineering major get a SMART grant on your financial aid estimate?

$1310-1580/month?! Even if those things are built by the time the Fall quarter rolls around, I’m not sure if I’d be down. That’s incredibly expensive!

…well, maybe. :)

It says they’ll update the actual price in April, we should all email em and complain about how expensive it is, perhaps they’ll lower the price.

Thevillage@ucsd.edu

I mean it’s more expensive than the non-transfer dorms, that’s messed up. Let’s start the emailing people!

isn’t that the price for a single? its probably split between a double and triple maybe?

no, there are usually three separate prices(for single, double and triple). and usually the cheapest is around 1100-1200. But you have to remember that includes the meal plan too, plus all utilities, internet, cable and alll that good stuff.

"The Village Estimated Rates:

UC San Diego’s estimated rates for the 2009/2010 academic year (including a meal plan) range from $1271-1410/month.

Final rates will be updated in April 2009."

They lowered it a little bit, still a little too high though.
