UCSD has a program like TAG called UniversityLink and I think people who fulfilled all the requirements got their decisions early.
@baaazinga! I can’t speak for everyone, but I was not part of UCSD’s university link or tag and I got my admission decision last week. Earlier on the forum someone contacted the admissions office and they said that early decisions had to do with uncapped majors. Either way, good luck to everyone still waiting! :)>-
@baaazinga! I was not apart of the UniversityLink program and I got my admissions early (March 11th).
Yea, I was the one who emailed Admissions to see what they would say, but since I applied to an uncapped major, I’m not really sure what the truth is behind how they’re sending them out.
I have a 3.9 GPA and haven’t heard back yet… Applying as Political Science.

I know my GPA isn’t the highest BUT I am transferring from a California community college (De Anza) which is the number #1 feeded CC to UCSD for transfers.
Just got admitted to the Thurgood Marshall College!

Pre-reqs: Finishing up my last IGETC required course this semester.
ECs: PTK co-president, student government (2 yrs), writing awards.
TAG: UCI

@enpz45 thank you! I’m in an honors program right now at my CC but I’m not sure if that had anything to do with my early admission.
@ald6191 thank you; I actually didn’t receive an email and instead received a package in the mail stating my admission and how I was invited to attend the Triton Day event in May. I checked online just to make sure I really got in and my acceptance was displayed on my portal. Sorry I couldn’t answer the email question!
@zellet132 I received my admission offer via email on the 11th. Nothing in the mail yet, and I live in San Diego.
@ald6191 Interesting. Did the portal update as soon as you got your email?
It makes me wonder what it means when you haven’t heard back from UCSD. I wonder if they’re not done reviewing your application, or just that they haven’t inputted the result in yet.
@ordunoisakk I actually found out via the portal the night before (10th). I noticed others in the forum here commenting on decisions being posted and on a lark I logged in. It was not until the next day that I received an email with a link to the admissions portal.
Congrats to those that have gotten in so far! My portal is down right now though :((

Last time the portal went down during the day was march 10th when freshman decisions came out (and a few transfers)
