I tweeted them ?
I was done waiting and I called UCSD to ask if there was a possibility that application decisions would come out after April 30th AND HE SAID YES. I asked him what I was to do about other university deadlines and he said to accept and pay the down payment for that other university. That if I did get into UCSD, and I wanted to go there, that I should rescind my acceptance and lose out on the down payment.
…bro.
@hafnium
Your joking…please tell me your joking… I have colleges depending on me to answer by the 1st!!!
Wow really? Man, UCSD is so annoying.
Hey guys, I know you are all probably stress on when UCSD decisions are coming out I am too. A representative came to my school today and I was told they will be coming out this Friday in the afternoon.
Hope this somewhat helps to alleviate some stress and anxiety you may be exporencing
FRIDAY AFTERNOON
No way…that cant be right we have been waiting MONTHS
The portal states decisions will come out on or before April 30th, so I really don’t believe that. I agree with @schoolislife100 it makes much more sense for them to come out on Friday.
At this point, I hope it’s Friday like @schoolislife14 says.
I HOPE its before the 30th. We all have schools to think about, plans to visit campuses…im really disappointed in ucsd
I have also JUST spoken to a rep at my school in person and she said Friday. Its all in one dump too, no rolling decisions. She also said they are so late this year bc they used a new reading tool for freshman decisions so it offset everything. Good luck all. THIS FRIDAY
The reason I called was because they have yet to give us a date or a time despite the fact that the 30th is less than a week away. The way the admissions representative talked about it makes everything seem to be up in the air, and at this point I do have concern that they might miss their deadline
I agree though that I doubt they would actually go beyond the 30th. The fact that he walked me through what I should do if it goes past the 30th is a bit concerning, but it might just be a scripted answer.
The representative who came seemed pretty sure. Hopefully, it is true and she just didn’t say Friday to get everybodys hopes up. She also mentioned how a change in the revision system on freshman applications delayed the process for transfer applicants, unfortunately.
@hafnium I totally get it. The admissions office seems really unhelpful and, honestly, kind of rude when people call. It just adds more stress to applicants when they spread this kind of information.
Friday?! wowwwww
anyone on here with UCSD as their first choice? I am starting to get worried that I am going to have to submit my $400 for SDSU Not that I don’t think that SDSU is a good school, $400 is a lot of money to lose out on if I do get into UCSD.
At least we got a possible day to look forward too…better than much later i suppose
@kaykapowski UCSD is my first choice and SDSU is my backup. We have till May 1st to submit our intent to enroll and UCSD decisions should be out Friday if the representatives aren’t lying. I’m just holding out until decisions are released.
Spoke with a UCSD representive and they said decisions will be released any time from now until Friday midnight.
@kaykapowski I’m in the same boat. SDSU’s $400 compared to $100-200 for other schools is just a little too much for me when I’m not even 100% sure if I’m attending. Waiting to hear back from here with the deadline approaching is giving me anxiety and my parents keep telling me to SIR but I’m just gonna wait it out
@sarcappuccino and @_uctransfer45 where are you guys transferring from and what is your major? Yeah, I am not 100% sure if I am going to go to SDSU only because I live so much closer to UCSD and I really like their Political Science program.
