I'm confused with the requirments. Does passing spanish 3 in high school fulfill a GE req for SD? My friend says yes, my counselor says yes, but my sister (who goes to UCLA) says no? If no knows I guess i'll just call.

And... Can I stay in the dorms a day prior to my assigned orientation date. For instance, I signed up for the 26/27 date can I go one day earlier (sunday?

yeah, you can get credit for passing the ap spanish test (which is a 3 i think). But just taking the highschool class won't help you. But if you took a spanish class at community college that will give you credit.

Wait. So if I got a 790 on the SAT II Korean test...
Does that cover my foreign language GE?

Cause I'm in Muir, and one of our GE requirements is to
"choose two sequences from: humanities, fine arts, foreign language."
And I was going to take humanities and foreign language, but found out that foreign language is usually not that fun at SD (--> I don't want to take foreign language anymore). I tried to take it during the summer at a CC but didn't fit into my schedule cause I'm going to Korea.

Unreal, where did I mention in my post that my statement was universal among every college? I was speaking through an anecdotical reference. If I have friends in UCLA, Davis, and Santa Barbara retaking a class, the general assumption is that a good portion of the UCs don't look into the Subject tests for language requirements.

You gave Syneria the information for a college (Revelle). I know you're familiar that each college in UCSD runs independently, so getting that site would be relevent for only some people.

Diana (Syneria) is going to Muir next year, so that specific example doesn't pertain to her either, making both of our posts pointless.

i got straight to the point and you confused him/her more. research please!

But awesome job, Diana. I was hoping you'd finish your site soon. After seeing the link in your facebook, I was really intrigued to see some of your art.

Who knows? Maybe we'll take some art course in college. I know you have different areas of focus in your site, but what's your facorite medium for art?

Hey, Syneria, just some helpful criticism on your site. I really like the clean feel of the website, but the side menu feels a little dirty once moving the cursor over it, feeling cluttered with the white boxes seeming out of place with the rest of the site.

Also your server seems to be having issues with your thumbnails (except the sketches) but thats more technical.

Otherwise, very nice looking site!

Your artwork is pretty cool, too. I especially like the wolf in disguise

_ Yea, too bad I hadn't had time for a whole lot of art. Everything I did turned out not to my liking or I never had the chance to finish, so my "art" on the site right now is really more filler art.

As for favorite medium, I really like the digital medium. :) Photoshop, opencanvas, and I'm hoping to learn painter soon. But more "real life" medium-wise, I always love prismacolor markers and color pencils. I used to do a whole LOT of acrylic and poster color, but it's been a long time since I've used those.
Unfortunately, art is not something I see a career prospect in. It's 100% just a side hobby/enjoyment thing.

Heh, I completely agree. I hate that white a:hover bg. But it's because I couldn't get the white bg off the side menu that pops out, and I just had to get menus to match... Maybe I'll just take the side pop-out menu out and think of some other way to incorporate the sub-sections. @_@

... spazz Where? I don't see it. :( shakes my browser

Wish I had more content-wise to put on my site. I have a feeling though that I'd redesign a whole new layout for my site in 3 months time.

Edit: LOL whooo, I sure like to talk, don't I.

Yes you do. And yay! Acrylic paint is my favorite medium to work with, though I'm not that great. Most of my art is mainly pencil sketches I do in class. Because of that limited time I have, I rarely do anything fancy or extravagent, but I do have some nicer pieces in some of my unofficial portfolios that I've kept over the years.

:} I'll post them in my Facebook sometime soon when I find them.
