UCSD has no geology major, but I want to study geology

when I return , hopefully by April.

So, what kind of degree is a Physics with Specialization in Earth Sciences?

I believe this is the closest thing to Geology that UCSD offers...

I looked at the UCSD catalog, and I don't think the major covers enough geology, if any....

IDK about my employment opportunities.

I can't apply to another school...

Don’t understand your question?
Are you applying to UCSD through TAG?
Apply to SDSU for Geology major.

@aunt bea

I’ve been academically disqualified, and trying to get readmitted to UCSD; And I’ve just decided recently that I want to study geology; . It’s going to be almost a year since I was academically disqualified. I got a 4.0 at my local cc, and I’m ready to get back.

This is the first step in trying to get readmitted, since I need a two year plan, and this will help me in the application process.

They have earth science which is the same thing. I applied there this year for earth science.

@GeologyRocks : What major is it specifically ?

Is it Environmental Systems ? But I will take a look .

Thanks guys; I did a little bit of research, and realized that physics is the closest thing to Geology. I like the curriculum.
