Does anyone have any information regarding this program?
Thank you!

I don’t.
But, good luck footballgirl.
Decision comes out April 22 right?

I actually got a call today saying I was in. I am choosing between Penn/Duke/Northwestern or UCSD medical scholars. What are your thoughts? Was your daughter deciding between Harvard and NW HPME? Thanks!

I am so happy for you…future doctor.

You will be successful…no matter where you decide to go.
Any school will be fortunate to have you as a student.

As for my daughter, she is heading to Northwestern University’s HPME.
I’m a very proud papa.

Congrats footballgirl on your many acceptances!
I’m a current ms What kind of info are you looking for?
I was in a similar situation deciding between ucsd, caltech, and duke as well. It was a difficult decision, but I ultimately chose here because I def want medicine to be a part of my future. ucsd’s med school is also ranked higher than most of the other bs/md programs, and its a lot closer to home, which i enjoy bc i’m close w/ my family But as I’m realizing more and more, this program really allows me to develop myself as a person, w/o the stress of mcats, interviewing, etc, as I can now do so many things that I might not have been able to do, like surfing, ukulele, studying abroad in germany…

pearapple-I guess I am concerned about the social life at UCSD-no football team, sororities, etc. I hear everyone goes home on the weekends. I love the program and the med school but I’m not so sure about the undergrad. What do you think?

Hmm yeah that would be a problem. I guess being into football (i’m guessing?) that would be quite a hit to go to ucsd And they do have sororities at ucsd but it’s def not a big thing compared to other schools (they don’t have greek row or anything) if that’s what you’re interested in… it is going to be for the next 8 yrs of your life so you should def pick the place where you think you fit the best :)

Congrats! What decision did you end up making?
I am a current high school senior, hoping to be a part of the program as well.
Do you received an invitation for the program after you apply? And is it a separate application to fill out?
