UCSD or UC Berkeley for Pre-Med and a Minor in Mathematics

I was wondering which college I should go to for that. I got accepted into both and maybe switching my initial math major into Biological Sciences. I was wondering how the pre-med at Berkeley is though compared to UCSD. Please respond back!

bump bump bump!!!

CAL IS CAL... there's no comparison... this is coming for a UCSD acceptee (wish i had applied to CAL :-()

hmmmm any more comments?

berkeley is good at pretty much everything (and probably better in math), but it's probably not as strong in bio. ucsd is very, very good in bio sciences.

I'd rather be on the beach in La Jolla, than in ghetto Berkeley...And UCSD is better for Pre-Med too.

ditto Baumb's comment

Berkeley=cold raining
San Diego= sunny warm

Would it be hard to get into Med School through berkeley? I mean... It's a much harder school to get a good grade in than San Diego right?
ugh... this is SO hard for me. I really like UCSD Campus (almost 2x better) and It smells nice and stuff. Does UC Berkeley's Bio Sciences suck compared to UCSDs? I think I'll go there because my parents are too happy to know that i got into berkeley and if I go to UCSD... they'll be bummed. I care about my parents too much.

M1st3rmarbl3s, I'm in the same dilemma. I got into Bioengineering at UCSD and thought for sure I wasn't going to get into Cal. Now that I've gotten into Cal (undeclared L&S), I don't know which one to choose. My parents want me to go to Cal, because of the prestige associated with its name, but I want to go to UCSD for the hype about the major that I got into.

^^^ same here... which would be better for biology like molecular/genetics?
