UCSD or UMiami????

<p>So I got into both. I love them both equally. I am going undecided to both. I am sooooo torn. I don't know which school to choose!! Which one do you guys think???</p>

<p>Then UCSD, its stronger and has higher reputation in most departments compared to Miami. Unless Miami is sig. cheaper.</p>

How much do you care about raging in college?</p>

<p>If you care about partying (a lot) then you should go with UM.
I would pick UM in your case, I feel as if I’d be more happy there; that counts way more than prestige.</p>

<p>I am out of state. But, money and location is not an issue for my parents</p>

<p>Even so, just go with the cheaper one. You won’t find any big difference except the location. Take transportation cost into account.</p>

<p>I happen to be a fan of residential college systems like UCSD offers. Does that matter to you?</p>

<p>UCSD was not ranked a lot higher than UM in 2013 and 2012 UM was ranked higher than UCSD. UM is a serious academic institution that is growing in prestige every year. UCSD is a great school in a nice location, but you cannot compare living in San Diego with living in Miami (even though they do have great weather).</p>

<p>UCSD is also a serious academic institution. In fact, if you wikipedia it, it was modeled after Caltech.

<p>Isn’t that amazing ? Founded in 1960 and already one of the elite public universities. Compare it to UCF and USF(considered tier 2) which were also established around the same time. Is it because of the high population ? UCLA isn’t that old either.</p>

<p>Did you take your major into account and what the university has to offer? All I know is that UCSD has an amazing medical program there.</p>

<p>I applied undecided for both schools. I really have no clue what I want to major yet.</p>

<p>Oh and I’m really into study abroad programs. I definitely want to go to a few places in college.</p>
