does anyone know if you can change your orientation date???? Mine was assigned to me for late september....thats too damn late, i wanna change it to an earlier date

hey there i believe all transfers have the same date? I know mine for ERC is late september as well and that was the only one offered.

I believe your orientation date is dependent on the college you were accepted to. For example, ERC is September 21. I’m in Muir and we actually have our orientation in a few weeks.

my orientation at Marshall is Sept. 9 ( I got to choose between the 9th, 10th, 11th)

Yeah, orientation is run by the colleges. But, registration date is a totally separate thing, so there’s no particular disadvantage to a late orientation.

Has anyone from sixth college as a transfer received any info about orientation? cause i havent… :(

Uhhh I received a letter in the mail that told me I had to sign up for one of two orientation dates at

newstudent.ucsd.edu

are you in sixth? can u access that web site?

I can and I’m in Revelle. I assumed it wasn’t a college dependent website that anyone could access it, but maybe not?

I got into ERC and my orientation date is Sept 21, and that was my only option

yeah my website says it wont be available till July something from the sixth college…so it def is college dependent…mine friend in sixth sees the same thing…ugg…stressful well im excited i at lest got my new place down there move in a month and start summer school on aug 3rd…
thanks for the info guys…

I was accepted into Muir and was given the option of registering for orientation either July 9 or 10. I am pretty sure newstudent.ucsd.edu is not college-specific, but access is restricted. When I first tried logging on, it wouldn’t let me. But after I had received orientation info from Muir, I was able to log on, so maybe that the problem? At any rate, mine is Thursday and I’m kind of nervous. I had to pay $55 and have no idea what to expect.

Hey volare, I’ll see you Thursday. I’ll be giving everyone a short talk on Tribe of Muir Transfers. (:

You’ll be talked to by a few college administrators, you’ll talk to a major advisor, you’ll have lunch, and you’ll get a walking tour of the campus. And if you’re confused about how to pronounce “Muir,” you’re not alone. (:

Does anyone know if you can arrive late to the orientation? My plane lands at 8 so I might be a hour late

I arrived late to my orientation. It will depend on the schedule, but an hour might very well be OK.
