<p>UC San Diego TAG Submission Checklist - Fall 2011:
* I understand the importance of completing lower-division course preparation and meeting the selection criteria for my intended major. Click here for these additional requirements. I understand that my UC San Diego TAG agreement is valid only if the major listed on my UC application is the same as the major I have indicated on my TAG application.
* I will complete my IGETC by the end of the spring 2011 term.
* I will have a minimum UC transferable GPA of 3.0 by the end of the fall 2010 term and must maintain an overall UC transferable GPA of 3.0 by the end of the spring 2011 term.
* I will complete two UC-transferable English composition courses (designated as UC-E) and one UC-transferable mathematics course (designated as UC-M) with grades of C (2.0) or higher by the end of the fall 2010 term. </p>
<p>This is the checklist for UCSD. </p>
<p>Everything was pretty clear to me, but I ran into this phrase.</p>
<p>"I will have a minimum UC transferable GPA of 3.0 by the end of the fall 2010 term and must maintain an overall UC transferable GPA of 3.0 by the end of the spring 2011 term."</p>
<p>The part where it says, "I will have a minimum UC GPA of 3.0 by the end of the fall 2010", seems to have different wording than "...maintain an overall UC GPA of 3.0 by the end of the spring 2011 term."</p>
<p>Does that mean for Fall 2010, you must have 3.0? Since it does not mention anything about "cumulative" or "overall", it seems like this COULD be used against some people later on for the admission. </p>
<p>Am I just overthinking?</p>
