<p>Hi, I'm considering transferring from UCSD to UCB for Fall 2010, for personal reasons.</p>
<p>I've been reading a lot of threads and posts on this forum, but the only thing I've really gotten was:</p>
<p>The higher your GPA, the better.
If you're transferring from a CC, you have a better chance.
And this enlightening nugget of information: Anything can happen.</p>
<p>Well I'm aware of that, but there has to be some quasi-definitive measure of your chances of getting into a school.</p>
<p>So I guess my question is this:</p>
<p>Will applying as a physics major give me a better or worse chance of getting into Cal.
Also, what GPA will give me a good (90%+) chance of getting into Cal.</p>
