UCSD Transfer 2014 Waitlist?

@tylu1208 yes

Nothing here…again

any international student here that got pulled out of the waitlist?

@bhav007
My aid from Irvine is $24,500 plus work-study, and 7500 for loans…wow UCD really wants you lol
Your aid from Irvine is surprisingly low…I got into UCSB too, but my aid is $3400 less than Irvine
@collegeDropout1: that’s good, you’re situation is like mine, so hopefully I’ll get the same amount…

Thanks guys…I really don’t want to work part-time after transferring like I’m doing right now…so FA is a factor!
I was also wondering if they have something like fee waiver at UCs?! And if yes, does that mean the tuition fee will be waived, and I get 24,500, or the fees will be deducted from the grant when it’s waived?! I’m still a little bit confused about these stuff

So…since someone got in and the rest of us didn’t, should we be expecting a mass wave of rejections?

@Cdelta‌ my friend was on transfer waitlist last year and she was accepted. She said that all the waitlisters were accepted. I hope that she’s right

Wow… this is going to be a tough rejection. ■■■■.

@idiotgirl How did your friend find out how many were waitlisted and how many got accepted last year?

So it means someone did get an offer today? And still no international student got pull out of the wait-list?

@Idiotgirl @Mcmadelyn Only about 70% of people got off the waitlist last year.

I saw someone had talked to an admissions rep earlier today and they said decisions still coming out though in the weeks to come.

2013
2,700 waitlist offers went out; 898 students opted in; 626 were admitted; 472 SIR’ed.

Let’s hope that they’re sticking with their past trends… 70% acceptance from waitlist! LETS GOOOOO STAY POSITIVE.

Still nothing for me here (int’l student)

I was accepted off the waitlist yesterday for human bio. GPA is 3.52. Stay positive guys/gals. I waited patiently for 7 months after missing the cut by 6 units last year.

Well historically there has only been two waves of acceptances. … looks like the two have gone out. If that means what I think it means, I hope they just send out the rejections soon and don’t keep us waiting.

@Taylorsams13‌ But only two acceptances on college confidential?
What are the chances that they’re giving out acceptances sporadically?

I really don’t mean to be that guy but is it possible the one or two people that said they were accepted at random times without emails might be trolling us? My bad if they’re telling the truth, just find it a little odd.

I mean if they aren’t trolling, it could be that the same thing happened to them as did a ton of people in the first wave of normal acceptances where they saw it before anyone else. I want to believe they are doing things differently this year but as I was rejected by literally all schools this year after waiting an additional year after last year’s rejections (I have 79.5 units already) I’m starting to see that maybe this was meant to be for me who would have thought that a GPA over a 3.4 would get you rejected to every school you apply to. These are ridiculous times.

I doubt that’s the case because it was mostly server issues that caused all of that. Good luck to you @Taylorsams13 hope you get in. There’s nothing we can do now, not even the admissions secretaries know when. Don’t lose hope guys.
