<p>The admissions process is weird. I’ve seen a few people get denied to UCLA, UCB, UCI with 3.8-4.0 GPA’s.</p>
<p>This is what UCSD said to their freshman waitlist…</p>
<p>Since you are a waitlisted student, we wish to inform you that our enrollment goals for 2013-14 have been met, therefore, we are unable to offer admission to any student on the waitlist. Thank you for participating in the waitlist process. We wish you the best in the pursuit of your educational goals.</p>
<p>“It is difficult to say whether we take students from the waitlist. If our enrollment goals are met, we may not take anyone. Please be patient. We hope to notify by June 1st.”</p>
<p>I asked them if they’ll take any transfer off the wait list and that was the response. Notice it says well be notified by the first. Am I suppose to read between the lines and think what they are not saying is actually what they’re really saying? Sigh… Admission to UCSD will make my life a lot simpler…</p>
<p>@Cdelta my friend who was waitlisted last year got admitted but not on the 1st. he told me that they notify him on the first week of june though. if they notify us by june 1st, im pretty sure that sounds more like rejection because it would be so much easier for ucsd to give us the decision that they gave to waitlisted freshman this year. :(</p>

<p>@zcarfaz I don’t think they took any freshman off of the waitlist last year but according to the 2012 UCSD Decision forum; a bunch of transfer waitlisters got in! :o</p>
<p>@Farcen yeah I know because last year they had a high turn over rate and they could not meet their enrollment target. they were lacking around 1000 students and that why a lot of people who were waitlisted offered admission but according to Ms Suns UC Admissions Blog, UCSD has met their enrollment target for 2013. Bummer!!!</p>

<p>Transfers and freshman have different enrollment goals - so even if they’ve met their enrollment goals for freshmen, they might not necessarily have met their enrollment goals for transfers. <p>I received an e-mail from UCSD and checked the status of my application.
I got in Thurgood Marshall college as a major in Economics.
my GPA is 3.34 (from 2.0 to 3.34, work experience, but no ECs)
Now, I need to decide where to go between UCI and UCSD.
I already submitted SIR to UCI and cost me $100. If I change my mind, I need to spend another $100. I don’t know now. I have time till June 9.

<p>Mmmm I got in but can’t even c what’s going on cuz of system error on campus website. I’m actually failing my class right now though…was sure that they won’t take me and just wanted to do one more year. do they care if you fail a class that’s not one of the requirements of transferring? It is a major prep course though. Surprised I made it with 3.07.</p>
<p>I got an e-mail that my status has been changed, so I think I got in. However, only I can see on the website is system error. strange.
I coudn’t find college I got in and my personal information.

<p>@Cdelta don’t worried about falling a class, UCSD want you to have only a 2.0 overall gpa… so dont worry you will be ok if you have a 2.0. best thing to do is contact them. if you live any closer to ucsd you should visit the admission office.</p>

<p>@zcarfaz yea…the problem is, this is my only class that I’m taking. Too late to call today. Perhaps tomorrow. I’ve an exam for this class tomorrow and I wasn’t even planning on going lol. Ima just have to pull an all nighter or something.</p>
