Ok, I'm new here, so sorry if I posted in the wrong area of whatever. Anyway I need people's opinions on these two schools. My case is a bit unique.

UCSD: Close to home, ew. But if best opportunities are near here, Ill take it. I like the big school atmosphere, something I didnt consider earlier because big school=fast team=cuts=no running. I'm a cross country/track athlete, by the way, but I promised myself a long time ago that I wouldn't let myself be limited by my running abilities. Tryouts in August=hllish summer of training, stressing, training. And then if I dont make it, hllish withdrawal from competing. But then again, college is a time to challenge yourself. The times are within my reach, but just barely. If I was guaranteed a spot would I go here? Probably. But if I wasnt going to compete in college, I check out UCD and UW, farther away.

Ok, now Pepperine: Scholarship. Running. Decent academics, about equal to UCSD, right?. I keep hearing conflicting arguments on that subject. And I could study abroad, something I probably wouldn't get to do at UCSD because I'd be holding on to my spot on the team by my fingernails. And the campus just seems so....isolated. But my parents want me to go here because they want me to run, and they'd give me so much crap if I chose UCSD without a secure spot on the team.

My major right now for both schools is Econ, but I'm considering switching it to computer science. And I know that if I'm serious about CS, UCSD is better. Here are the other schools I got into: UW, UCD, Davidson College, Santa Clara U, USD, UofO(honors).

Please let me know what you guys think.
