UCSD vs UM

Hi.

Ive been accepted to both U Mich and UCSD for Political Science.I can't decide where to go.

as much as UCSD has been improving over the years, if you can look past Michigan's cold weather, Mich is probably the better place to go.

U Mich is one of the few colleges that has a better poli sci department than UCSD. so in terms of prestige and educational strength, U Mich is the way to go. of course this is still for undergrad so you can't go wrong at either. it all comes down to which college would be a better fit.

I'd say Michigan.

I would thank everyone who has responded so far.
I would like to know which one of you are currently attending UCSD,since no one at the Mich side has responded.
Furthermore I would like to know how you evaluated that U Mich as being better in prestige and educational strength.
I would also like to know what the opportunites of entering a big law school or international relation school (grad) are after graduating from either college.

Thank you.

UCSD is known for its sciences and economics. to put it simply, Michigan's poly sci is much more developed, will be better taught, and have more of an impact in the eyes of recruiters because well, its U of M. Granted, taking it at U of M will have much more competition/harder to get good grades so if your really looking towards grad school SD will definitely be a place where you could get urself a nice GPA. But unless ur a CA resident and the tuition will be cheap for you or you really want to be in La Jolla and in the sunny weather, Michigan I feel would sitll just be the better choice. Its overall ranking is better, its poly sci ranking is better, its a better known University with deeper connections.
