@dwayneee: Yes, you can withdraw your SIR from UCSD if UCB accepts you from the waitlist but you will lose your enrollment deposit.
I decided to attend UCD instead of UCSD as animal science major for pre-vet. It was a really hard decision to make ngl Good luck for everyone! 
@baebi99 For animal science, UCD is a no brainer. They are ranked #1 in the world for animal science.
I have a friend that was accepted into vet school this year with a 3.1 GPA from UCD. But she had A LOT of experience to add to her resume.
You made the right decision and should not regret it.

@kristinpete I wonder if that’s because they’re waiting for some people to SIR after their waitlist decisions or if there are still new spots available. I can’t see waiting until July 31st, to make a decision worth the wait for anybody.
Hey guys, do you know what is the cs major transfer condition for UCSD? I got both my linear algebra and my physics (electricity and magnetism) C in my last semester. Is there a condition says we need to get a B or higher for those classes? Also has anyone got off the waitlist since 7?
Feel like the chance is getting smaller & smaller. Some of my friends got off waitlist all around the 7th

@tacoturnup A lot of people were accepted into UCLA from the waitlist so that really opens up spaces at UCSD. Several people are still waiting to hear back from Berkeley so when/if Berkeley starts letting people off their waitlist, even more spaces will open.
It’s just so difficult to make it work if you’re accepted at this point and beyond. Housing is a major issue.
