Ughh I just want to hear back from UCSD already. I’m tired of everything getting dragged out so long and if I’m not going to get off the wait list I’d rather just hear it and get it over with now.
I think it’s so wierd that nearly all of the people who have been waitlisted at SD at my school have still not heard back yet. If tommorow is rejections… Speechless… :(( LOWKEY just want to take the 15 minute drive to the admissions office and ask them what’s up LOL.
@raininthesummer I came to the conclusion that I won’t get off the waitlist a long time ago. At least UCSD gave me the honor of being on the waitlist LOL
@Core2Q Hahaha that’s a good way to look at it. I mean at least all of us that are on the wait list didn’t get rejected. We would all be qualified to get in if there just was enough space.
@jackisawesome The next wave is coming out on Wednesday I believe. I was accepted within the second wave and they gave me until May 10th to SIR. I think this has to do with the admissions office being closed on the weekends. This is just based on speculation tho
The last wave last year was May 12th. I wish everyone that actually wants to attend could get in but life ain’t that simple unfortunately. Y’all are all amazing individuals regardless!

I got in uc davis, santa cruz, riverside, sdsu… but didn’t accept any of them because it is going to be ucsd or nothing… but I guess I’m going to community college after the 4 years of hard work T.T idk im so sad
@miniminimint: You should have SIR’d to at least one campus while waiting for UCSD. You could have withdrawn if accepted and just lose your deposit. Sorry to hear you did not have a backup plan but hopefully everything will work out. Good Luck.
@raininthesummer My problem is that I didnt get into any other UC’s between UCSD and UCR. Its confusing but Im gonna make the best of UCR. Good luck though

tbh, I think they are done…it’s been a week since they have accepted anyone off the waitlist
yeah it’s kinda wierd how the last round was May 6th. And they r giving this batch so much time…
@sarale yeah ikr; according to the pattern they should have released a new batch today… maybe they accounted for the weekend?

@hihelloitsme1 @sarale They gave the last wave until May 10th to SIR, and seeing that they sent out the second wave the day after the first wave’s SIR deadline, I would assume that the third wave is tomorrow.
When I inquired about waitlist, I got a response from admissions (2x’s) this week that said they would be notifying students re: availability of space from waitlist over next several months? This doesn’t seem to make sense, since the waitlist FAQ’s sheet says they notify by June 1st. Anybody else get this resonse? or does it just mean forget it - you’re not getting in and they don’t want to tell you officially yet?
@aibut For freshman its until June 1st. For transfers it goes for a month after that.
