Can we send in any additional info to get off the wait list?

i dont think so i wish we could though!!!

I heard we may be hearing the final decision on may 15. I’m not 100 percent sure though. This is the date that ucsb wait list decisions come out.

i just talked to an admissions officer and she said that they still don’t know what direction they’re going in…she also said: “let me put it this way. students who have been admitted usually find out by now.”

idk what to think lol

does anyone else want to give it a shot and call the admissions officers?

So that means we probably won’t get in this is my dream school

its not 100% set in stone…i mean, she said they haven’t been given any direction as to what they’re going to do with waitlist. but maybe you should call and ask to see if you can get any more information

i’ll try calling tomorrow too, but this is so sad, UCSD was my absolute dream school

I’ll give a call if they don’t respond by the 15th

Just saw this on the UCSD MyApplication portal for my son:

“Since you are a waitlisted student, we wish to inform you that our enrollment goals for 2013-14 have been met, therefore, we are unable to offer admission to any student on the waitlist. Thank you for participating in the waitlist process. We wish you the best in the pursuit of your educational goals.”

Mine still shows wait listed. Did your son write the 200 word essay?

@Hopefulxfers
Yes, he did write the 200 word essay for the UC-San Diego waitlist.
He ended up not getting into UCSD, but was admitted off of the UC-Los Angeles waitlist about 11 days ago.
Good luck.

Yup same thing,
“Since you are a waitlisted student, we wish to inform you that our enrollment goals for 2013-14 have been met, therefore, we are unable to offer admission to any student on the waitlist. Thank you for participating in the waitlist process. We wish you the best in the pursuit of your educational goals.”

Same for me. Can we transfer from UCR to UCSD after 1 year or does it have to be after 2 years?

Yes, same message. enrollment goals have been met.

@theman95, i don’t mean to change the topic of the thread but how do you know the ucsb waitlist decisions are coming out on the 15th?

I was waitlisted for both UCSB and UCSD. My UCSB was updated on May 4th at around 7.00 p.m. letting me know I got in. I was hoping I’d get accepted to UCSD too so I’d have more options, but I got the message saying that enrollment is full :(

@TheShowGoes0n I read in some other thread

So there is NOTHING we can do? Even if we are planning to commute they still can’t allocate a couple of seats? I know I’m sounding desperate but we can’t send in any other documents? Also of we talk to the chancellor would they still not accept one more person?

@DualDegreeDoc @theman95 @anonymoushope
is your son/you transfers or freshman? I am a transfer and mine still shows as waitlisted and to wait till June 1st for decisions
