UCSD: When do units have to be completed?

MY counselor insists i only have to have 60 and IGETC PLANNED through Fall...but i called UCSD admissions and they told me I had to have EVERYTHING done by the end of summer. Who is right? I want to transfer in the winter but the UCSD rep told me unless I have 60 by summer's end, it's impossible. I'm getting two completely different stories.

You don’t even need IGETC for some ucsd colleges. You have to have at least 60 units to transfer, but last year winter transfer admission was put on hold. It should be your units through fall, not summer, but it may still be tough to get in.

i would listen to the admission officers since they’re the one that actually makes the decision.

It was a kid and he seemed like he was having a bad day and wasn’t very helpful. He seemed to like contradicting everything i said. I’m going by my campus today to talk to my counselor again and see what’s up.

For tag, everything needs to be done by summer.
