UDACITY: Does taking online classes help?

<p>For those of you who don't know, Udacity is this online programming class taught by a stanford professor and has quizzes and certificates and grades and all. It is absolutely free, and you learn a ton.</p>

<p>My question is whether doing well on Udacity or even taking it will be a good addition to a resume. Should I even write it on my resume? Does the certificate count for anything?</p>

<p>Sure you can add it on your resume. But it’s not going to be a significant boost. It’s what you actually know that matters, and the class is only going to help you to the extent that you learn new material.</p>
