UF admissions openly discriminates -

OP, even if there are facts and figures to prove otherwise, I agree with you. In my experience and opinion, there is a slight preference (and possibly easier transition) from public high schools to private, especially those in Florida.

I know friends who have been accepted into UF and those that haven’t, and while both are from high schools both public and private, there is a majority to those who have been accepted from public universities. However, this may also be rooted in the availability of options for public schools within the state of Florida.

I know this goes beyond your situation, but I see your viewpoint valid to an extent in another specific situation. There’s a system in the state of Florida that allows public high schools to send their transcripts electronically to public universities/colleges in Florida. Perhaps this has made it easier for UF in-state applicants because 1) OOS can often times forget to send their transcripts, or their school has problems with transcripts, or etc., and 2) UF may have preference to electronically sent transcripts.
