UF alumni rank high for judges in federal, district courts
UF has 46 federal judges in the U.S.

UF Law alumni rank 13th in the nation for most federal judgeships and ninth for most federal district court judges.

According to a paper in the Tennessee Law Review, UF has 46 federal judges and 44 district court judges, beating out schools like the University of Chicago and tying with the University of California at Berkeley, respectively. Harvard Law School ranked first in both categories.

Fun Fact: One of the guys I played HS football with, who also went to UF, is now a circuit judge. When he started at UF, he had no idea he would go into law, let alone become a judge. It’s a good example, of why you don’t have to have your whole life planned out, before you’ve taken a single class at UF.
