How do you find out what your UF GPA would be???
UF will count only academic classes, from 9th to 11th grade (they don’t look at your senior grades for admission). They also will count any college prep level classes from the 8th grade, most commonly Algebra 1.
UF will give +0.5 points to any honor (pre-IB, pre-AICE) classes and +1.0 points for any AP/DE/IB/AICE classes. They do not count “+” or “-”.
So, a “B” (or B+,B-) in Spanish 1 (a standard class) is worth 3.0 points. A “B” in honors Algebra 2 is worth 3.5 points (+0.5 for honors) and an A in AP Lite is worth 5.0 points.
Do you figure it according to semesters? I assume since some classes are only 1 semester long?
I think you use the grades as reported on the SSAR.
Yes, it’s by semesters. So, your Calc class may be two semesters (the full year), while an elective may only be one semester. Two grades for Calc, and one for the elective.
