I understand that UF Nursing is very competitive but I am trying to get a better idea of how competitive. I would hate to apply after my second year and not get in and be stuck! It looks like the traditional BSN program takes about 125 students. Does anyone know how many UF students apply for those 125 spots? Any info about UF nursing admissions would be appreciated. Thanks!
I have collected data, but it’s from various sources and may not be entirely accurate. I have read they offer about 130 spots, and that of those, 110-120 are current UF students. I’ve also read that 800-900 apply for those few spots! Average GPA from the first two years is rumored to be in the 3.8 range. Yes, it’s pretty competitive, and you don’t hear back about acceptance until mid June.
Wow! This is a little discouraging. I wonder how many of the 800-900 applicants are current UF students vs transfers.
