HI all, I will be applying to attend UF in the fall of 2015 as an aerospace engineering transfer. Looking at the curriculum for students who attend UF starting as freshman, there are some classes which they are required to take during their first two years that community colleges do not offer:
-What is the Good Life
-Computer Aided Graphics and Design
-Computer Programming for Engineers
-Eng. Mechanics – Statics
-Design and Manufacturing Lab
- Elements of Electrical Eng. & Circuits
-Intro to Numerical Methods of Eng. Analysis
- Mechanics of Materials
-Thermodynamics

The website says that the above classes are not part of the prerequisites that I must satisfy before entering UF as a transfer, (i just need chem, calc, physics, gen. eds) so I was curious as to how will I incorporate the above classes into my schedule? Am I responsible to complete all of those, or just a select few (such as thermodynamics or mechanics)

I notice that students who attend UF starting as freshman take some of their gen. eds during their 3rd and 4th years, but even having already completed all of my gen. eds by the time I transfer, it looks as if in order to complete all the classes listed above, in addition to all of the 3rd and 4th year classes related to my major, it will take me 2.5 or 3 years to complete everything instead of 2.

Any help understanding all of this would be greatly appreciated.
