UF Warrington Business School or Emory Gozuieta Business School?

Which do you think is better?
How is the B-school environment at UF?

I got into UF and Emory.
Going to UF will cost me $10,000
going to Emory will cost me
$40,000 (with Fin Aid).

So which do you think is worth it, and why.

Also, I'm interested in law..so I might actually NOT pursue a Business degree.

I know that Emory is more prestigious and ranked higher...
But, for the price and the overall value of the education...do you think it is worth getting a loan for and stuff?

Tough call. Unless you are really in love with Emory, and don’t mind accumulating a significant amount of debt, I would choose Emory.

However, if I were in your situation I would go to UF and save the money for grad school.

thanks…
i m sort of in love w/ emory…
and i like the convenience of being close to home if i go to UF

I would personally do Emory for either Law or Business. Those fields are so competitive, to really be great in them you need to go to top rate grad schools, and the reputation of your undergrad will help a lot.

Getting way ahead in Law or Business will more then pay the extra 30k over the course of your career (more likely getting ahead will get you more then that in a single year). This is all assuming you will work hard and do well at Emory.

yesh, zaerz,u do have a valid point

Save your money for grad school. UF is a great school, consistently ranked as a first-tier University. It has a law school on campus. It won’t hurt your application to law school to come from UF, IMO and it won’t significantly help your application to law school if you come from Emory. Nationally UF has stronger brand recognition.

30k is a lot of money. Don’t take that burden on lightly. You never know what can happen and you may be handicapped by that debt for many years.

I would definitely choose UF.

Are you talking about $40K total for 4 years or $40K per year x 4 = $160K?
Big difference.

If it were 160k this would be a no brainer with UF being the obvious choice. Even at 40k though, it’s a lot of money to pay to get an education that will take you to the same place.
