UF's course "Units" in their app?

OK, so in their application UF has a section for "units" for each class in your senior year schedule...what is this? If it's the number of credits each class is worth, then I have a problem because all of my classes are 5 and 6 credit courses. :P

Or does this mean, say, one full-year course = 1 unit? If that's the case, how do I differentiate between a 4 credit course (gym) and a 6 credit one (AP physics)?

Also, is this, http://www.nre.ufl.edu/Students/Undergrad/Doc/recommendationform.pdf , their freshman application recommendation form?

1 unit is a typical one year class (ie; AP Physics)

.5 units is a class that takes a half year (ie; taking one course in the first half of the year and taking another the second half of the year).

For AP Physics, you would put it on your first semester schedule as .5 units and again in your second semester schedule as .5 units (totaling 1 unit).

I don’t know what kind of school or whatever that you go to, but if you’re in high school I suggest that you take your full year courses and make it 1 unit and your half year courses and make it into a .5 unit.
