ccmbr002: i also have a friend who is also a girl who was also deffered from uga who also got into vanderbilt!! how cool!!!

sigh anywayz. the uga selection process is really hard to define. like most of yall. i kno some dumbasses who got in but some really smart people who got deffered.i kno people who couldnt get into clayton state but got into emory. so....dont ever look at who got in and who didnt. i do think uga uses race as a factor. but it seems like when you get there its still 102% white. maybe the urms were hiding. every school except maybe hbcu's has a URM quota i believe. every school is really pushing the "diversity" thing. so no offense but its really good to be black around college admissions time. hahahahaha................ha. but any other time its great to be white. hahahahahhaha.....................ha. anywayz uga is a great school and if u get deffered chances are youll get in regular. dont worry. unless u get denied.

I'm just wondering. Is there any chance that those who applied Regular Admissions would find out whether or not they were accepted prior to April 1st? Or does everyone find out around at that time.

I think the best thing to do is wait patiently because its too late to change ur stats neway. So yea "cross them" if u think u have to.. gud luck to allz

uga mostly looks at gpa and extracurricular.. i know this because i got in with a 1220 sat and a 3.8 gpa. and good extracurriculars. my cousin had a 1290 and a 3.3 gpa and fewer extracurricular.. it just seems to be that way. also just a piece of information i have a friend (black) to got denied from uga, but got into emory, 1310 sat and a 3.3 gpa..

If this helps anyone feel more hopeful, I just got in with a 3.6, from the Metro Atlanta area, white (though with a diverse background, which I only mentioned in my essays). My big plus was a 1500 though.
