<p>I am currently in my first year in college, but I don't like my school so I want to transfer to the University of Georgia. I also want to get in to the honors program but I am afraid that by being a transfer student I will not qualify for and scholarships in the honors program. I live in NYC by the way and I really would like to transfer to this school so can anyone help me. Also does the University of Georgia give good financial aid for out-of-state students?</p>

I don’t have specific information on out-of-state scholarships, but most public universities use out-of-state students as revenue sources to balance out the discounted rates charged to in-state students. That’s especially true in GA, where the tuition rates are low compared to the rest of the country.</p>
