transferring into honors?

just wondering if anyone has any experience transferring into uga and applying to the honors program... i'm trying to figure out how hard it is to get in, what your experience has been with the honors program, that kind of thing, if it was any different that a normal freshman getting in.

also, random question, how difficult is it to get a nice-paying part time job in athens? like serving at (possibly finer dinning) restaurants, that kind of thing? with all the students, is there a lot of competition for jobs around town?

I heard it's not too hard if you meet the 3.75 cumulative gpa (taking at least 15 hours) requirement. I'm actually planning on applying this semester for it.

space, can you not apply until after you've been attending the school for a certain amount of time? er, 15 hours?

it looks like they've given me a 3.69 with the credit they accepted, so would it even be possible to still get in, after possibly raising the grade with courses at uga?

alsoooo, once you're in, i'm assuming you have to sustain a 3.75 gpa?

i'm just starting to look into it... i'll do more research on their website

I actually think i misunderstood this post when i first replied. I'm actually a current freshmen and am applying for collegiate entry. To apply you need to have:

15 hours taken in course of application

at least a 3.75 cumulative gpa

After you are in the program you need to maintain I think a 3.25 and fulfill a few course criteria requirements to graduate with honors. You should be able to find the info on the website
