Stanford is THE prettiest for me.

I go to Pepperdine so I feel obligated to say that it is top notch; but also I've seen some real beauties:

University of San Diego
UCLA
USC (the campus itself, in my opinion, is pretty awesome)

I think UCSD just likes brutalist architecture:

CAL-IT2 building: http://ucsdnews.ucsd.edu/graphics/images/2004/Calit2Bldg_lg.jpg

Geisel Library:

:)

I'm kind of a fan of modern architecture.

Pepperdine is very nice. It even has deer that roam around the campus! It also has a perfect view of Malibu beach.

UCLA is big, but there's always something to look at. There's like sculptures or nice buildings, things like that. Part of it is the atmosphere I think. The fact that there's so many people all doing their own thing, with so many things going on, I think it's cool.

USC I think has the generic university look. I'm talking about having very green grass, roman looking buildings, your "21st century" building, and the ugly duckling. However, I do think the campus is nice, and coasy.

BTW, this building from MIT looks just awesome

Does anyone else agree that UT Knoxville is pretty darn ugly?

Washington University has a very pretty campus. Especially with its gothic architecture. I wouldn't say any campus is really ugly, it's all just how you percieve it. = )

My personal rankings, schools I have visited/attended only:

Fantastic - University of Virginia
Very Good - William & Mary, University of Michigan
OK: Virginia Tech, University of Toronto, Georgetown, Michigan State, Northwestern
Bad: University of Maryland - College Park

Of ones I've seen:
Very pretty: UVA, Elon, Wake Forest, Furman, W&M, Cornell
Ugly: NC state, GA tech

Wake Forest is absolutely beautiful.

Cal State University Los Angeles is atrocious. :-/

Berkeley is just a bunch of buildings put together, nothing special about it, but what makes it nice is it's full of trees and creeks. Very nice little setting.

All the trees at Berkeley make up for the decent buildings. Plus the many Crepes and music stores near it.

In MAY the best looking I have seen are: DENISON, FURMAN, WAKE FOREST,
LAFAYETTE, BUCKNELL, MIDDLEBURY,WESLEYAN,UVA, and RICHMOND
NOT SO PRETTY: UMASS, ITHACA, BRANDEIS, TUFTS, AMHERST,CLARK, OHIO WESLEYAN, W.P.I. ROCHESTER, DREW

Make sure you see it only on sunny days otherwise it can be scary gloomy and uninviting. On a sunny day it is okay but nothing special almost like a cross between Trinity and Hamilton though not nearly as well manicured. The grounds are not kept up very well of course their endowment may not make the necessary commitment of funds to do so.

Uconn has to be the ugliest campus for any major state University in the country. Delaware is just the opposite. Poor Guilford is a pathetic place especially after just having seen Davidson, Wake Forest, Furman and even Clemson.

Birch, what is wrong with Wesleyan and Amherst?

he said, OHIO WESLEYAN (re-read the post.) ;)

BC IS PRETTY
I thought harvard was amazing. UVA is cool, W & M is great, GA Tech is much cooler than it used to be....all of the new stores and shops to walk to across the road, UGA not so great, Auburn and Clemson like step-sisters...plain, Vandie is lovely, Pepperdine is amazing, NYU is depressing, I heard Duke was intimidating? UNC is comfortable and pleasant an U of R is preppie and stuffy but nice.

The NE liberal arts colleges are beautiful. Bowdoin, Wellesley, Midd, Colby, ect.
